We've shipped a new AI-powered script to automate the generation of diverse A/B test variations for the Lume story Twitter thread, enabling rapid and scalable content optimization.

This week, we're introducing an AI-powered script, `generate_variations.py`, designed to supercharge our content strategy for the Lume narrative. This tool integrates with LLM APIs to automatically generate a wide range of A/B test variations for our core Twitter thread. Instead of manually brainstorming a few alternatives for hooks and calls-to-action, the script programmatically creates dozens of options, each tailored to different tones, user personas, and marketing frameworks like AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) and PAS (Problem, Agitate, Solve).
The previous process of creating A/B tests, captured in `thread-copy-variations.md`, was manual, slow, and creatively limiting. It represented a significant bottleneck in our ability to test and learn what messaging truly resonates with different segments of our audience. To effectively tell the story of Lume as the 'Robinhood of Web3,' we need to experiment at a scale and speed that manual copywriting simply can't match. This new script was built to remove that bottleneck, transforming our testing capability from a chore into a powerful, automated asset.
The impact is a dramatic increase in our content testing velocity and sophistication. Content strategists and developers can now generate a rich dataset of copy variations in minutes, not hours. This allows for more rigorous experimentation to discover the most effective ways to engage investors, developers, and new crypto users alike. By leveraging AI, we can move beyond simple wording changes and test fundamentally different narrative angles, ultimately leading to higher engagement, better storytelling, and a data-driven approach to growing the Lume community.

# Get started with AI-powered A/B test generation for the Lume story.
# This script uses an LLM to create variations of the main Twitter thread.
# First, ensure you have your LLM API key set as an environment variable.
export OPENAI_API_KEY='your-api-key-here'
# Navigate to the repository root and install the required Python packages.
pip install -r requirements.txt
# Now, run the generation script.
# It reads the base thread and outputs an enhanced markdown file with numerous variations.
python scripts/generate_variations.py \
--input content/twitter-thread.md \
--output content/generated-thread-variations.md \
--num-variations 5
# Finally, open the newly created file to see the results.
# You'll find 5 new AI-generated variations for the hook, key points, and CTA,
# each with a different strategic angle (e.g., technical, urgent, benefit-focused).
